The proof of this Second Main Theorem uses a negative curvature approach, not unlike F. Nevanlinna's original differential geometric proof of the Second Main Theorem. In terms of details, the exact proof of the above theorem bears greater resemblance to the work of Ahlfors [Ahlfors, 1929]. 2 is due to Wong [Wong, 1989], except that it was Lang [Lang, 1990] who suggested adding the arbitrary Khinchin function 'ljJ. 2 is rather complicated. It does, however, have two nice features that I will now point out.
